Proactive Panther Communication:
Check your student email frequently for important messages. We also communicate through text if you have opted in to allow text messaging, which you can do in PAWS. For assistance with questions or concerns you may go to Panther Answer and search the knowledge base or reach out to an agent through ticket submission, virtual appointments, chat, email or phone. Agents are available to help.
Learning Models and Safety:
In accordance with guidelines from the University System of Georgia, the university will provide you with multiple learning models for fall: Blended (B), Online (O) and Face 2 Face (F). Click here for a definition of each model. More details on each model and how you’ll be able to determine your days for on-campus attendance will be available at www.gsu.edu/keeplearning. To find the learning model for your schedule you can watch this video for a demo of where the new icons for instruction are listed in PAWS / GoSolar.
Because of the fluidity of the situation, course changes are still in progress. Check your schedule in PAWS and your Panther email in case you are being contacted by faculty as we get closer to the start of the semester. The University System of Georgia has mandated the wearing of masks in most areas on all campuses. Faculty will also post scheduling details to their iCollege sections by Aug. 10 for variances to any standard university practices.
Preferred Name Updates:
Students have an opportunity to change their roster name. This option affects how faculty and students see your name on class rosters. Submissions for requests are due by the end of the drop/add period, Aug. 28. Instructions are at https://registrar.gsu.edu/preferred-name-change/.
We’re still here to assist you and look forward to you joining us this fall. If you registered for fall course(s) and don’t plan to attend, you should drop your course(s) through PAWS to ensure the account is adjusted accordingly and your seat is made available to other students.
If you are looking for more specific dates related to the semester please go to the Fall 2020 academic calendar. We look forward to welcoming all Panthers back shortly for fall instruction.
